Seeing Red

“If you’re feeling blue, try painting yourself a different color.” -Hannah Cheatem (age 8)
During these dreary winter months, it is super easy to get in a clothing rut. Recently I’ve been inadvertently limiting myself to dark colors. Dark colors and lots of neutral, simple layers. While this is certainly a practical and appropriate way to dress right now, it never hurts to break the mold. As mentioned in my previous post, I am trying to push boundaries a bit more this year and be increasingly adventurous when it comes to clothing. Vibrance people…take a cue from Hannah, kid knows what’s up!

Love the advice – I spoke similarly on my blog recently about wanting to take fashion risks in 2013, step out of my comfort zone a little. I started by wearing a fedora, which is something I never thought I could pull off. :)
