Hard to believe another year has gone by. And oh what a wild one it’s been! New city, new job, new apartments, new friends, new relationships…an absolute roller coaster, but I wouldn’t change a thing. I feel very lucky to have had a place to document my outfits and experiences…the good, the bad and the ugly. Thanks so much for listening and being a part of my little adventure!

Hope your NYE is filled with champagne, sequins, and unforgettable moments. Here’s to an even better 2013, and I’ll see y’all next year!

Hope everyone had a very merry Christmas!! Wore this rather festive ensemble to my work holiday party last week. Tacos and tequila shots at Soho House…the Pour La Victoire team knows how to party.

I have a few days off for the first time in a while, and am thoroughly enjoying every minute of it…trying to reflect and regroup before the new year. Spending some time in San Francisco before returning to NYC…visiting with old friends and hitting up all of my favorite spots. I didn’t realize how much I missed this quiet and beautiful little city until I got here. So many good memories!

I have been on a mission to find a plain leather baseball cap for a number of months. When I saw my friend Willis wearing this one, I basically lost control…couldn’t resist stealing it off of his head and claiming it as my own. So good, right?!

Looking forward to jetting off to California tomorrow for the holidays. Spending Christmas in Orange County with my family, then roaming north to San Francisco for a few days. Can’t wait to visit my old stomping grounds…it has been WAY too long. Safe travels to everyone who’s leaving town this weekend…hope you have fun, festive things in store!

While I of course have a great respect for the art of photography, I myself am no photographer. Fortunately I have an iPhone and that little app called Instagram, that allows me to mask my inadequacy through a variety of tools and filters. Smoke and mirrors, so to speak.

Anyway, I try and do a pretty good job of keeping up with what’s happening around me and posting a lot of it on Instagram. So even when I can’t be actually blogging (which is often lately, given my hectic schedule), I can still sort of get my fix!

So click here and follow along, if you’d like! And feel free to leave me a little comment with your insta-handle so I can check out your feed as well…

The past week has been a total whirlwind! Between craziness at work and one holiday extravaganza after the next, I’ve certainly had no trouble staying busy. Isn’t this time of year just complete chaos!?? I’m definitely not complaining, though…a packed schedule is vital to my sanity.

That said, I am so happy to have had today to stay home, be alone, and just decompress. Clean apartment, wintery candles, Netflix and Thai food delivery. My favorite kind of Sunday! Hope you guys enjoyed the weekend as well. ♥

This weekend was all about being cozy and staying indoors (for the most part) with some very fun friends. I’ve been an avid sweatshirt wearer lately, and this dress is basically just an elongated version of my favorite new staple. Also, I have to say there is something very freeing about going sans jewelry every once in a while…instead of layering on bracelets and rings, just pile on the soft knits. I mean, this oversized sweater??! The best thing ever. Come on, it is cold out there. And fashion should make you happy, after all! Am I sounding lazy yet? :)

Wore this very practical and very puffy ensemble while frolicking around the West Village the other day. I didn’t think this NYC neighborhood could get any cuter, but with holiday decorations up it somehow has! It’s like another world over there from the grungy Lower East Side area I live in — so  much charm, I cannot get enough.

In other random news I discovered a new favorite alcoholic beverage…just in time for winter and easy enough that even I can manage to not screw it up. Take some very chocolatey hot cocoa, add a little (or a lot of) Cafe Patrón, and pile on the whipped cream and sprinkles. You will not regret it. Just figured I’d share!
