So clearly these photos were taken a few days before temps started to plummet, but yesterday I experienced my first snow since moving to New York City! I must confess, I have been a bit terrified for a real winter, but now I’m starting to think it might be kind of magical. While this head-to-toe look won’t be so suitable for the cold season, I have decided to stock up on these sweatshirts from American Apparel to help me through. They’re great for all kinds of layering…addicted!

How strange the past week has been! I feel so fortunate to be among the lucky ones who came out of Hurricane Sandy safe and sound, without any major apartment damage. Also lucky, was that when I packed my “overnight” bag last Sunday (thinking I’d be away for a day or two max,) I remembered to throw in my favorite new jeans! Six days later, instead of feeling completely disheveled, I was able to style up a what I would call a fun, casual outfit…all things considered! :)

I have recently become more of a denim person than ever before, and am pretty obsessed with the fit of this particular pair. They’ve got that laid back “boyfriend” style, but are still flattering and tailored for a woman. Also, James Jeans are handmade in the good old US of A…gotta love that! If you want to snag a pair for yourself, they’re offering 25% off to OTR readers now through the end of the month with code JJ008. ENJOY!
