It is hard to believe I was wearing this only 24 hours before Sandy’s devilish wrath hit Manhattan, and everyone was forced indoors to reside in sweatsuits with gallons of wine. At least that’s how I’ve spent the past 48 hours. Seriously, though, the storm was no joke. Luckily, Lola and I were able to seek shelter with a friend in Williamsburg, as it seems my neighborhood is still sans power, and apparently semi-flooded. Not fun.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was affected by the hurricane. So happy that the worst is over, and the city is in recovery mode. Stay safe and dry, y’all!

Lola and I out for our pre-work morning stroll. I am still trying to get used to my new Lower East Side neighborhood, but Lola has had no trouble adjusting. She typically manages to scavenge at least a piece of old pizza crust (gross), and definitely gets a kick out the corner store flower selection. And by “gets a kick out of”, I actually mean she continues in her attempt eat everything in sight. Oh, the life of a dog…

I’ll be real with you…I don’t care much about football (or any other sport, for that matter), but there comes a time in every girl’s life where you just need to suck it up and show a little team spirit. I’m sure Gisele didn’t care either until she met Tom Brady. And do you really want to be that boring chick at the Superbowl party hovering over the chip bowl? I think not.

That’s why, when I was approached by my friends at StyleCaster to style some NFL inspired looks for Victoria’s Secret PINK, I was totally up for the challenge. Football may not be my thing, but clothes and shoes are! So click here to check out a few of the other outfits I threw together to rep the New York Giants…go team!

This outfit made me feel sort of like a space martian…and I must say I enjoyed it. Like a character from The Jetsons! The metallic skirt from All Saints is one of my favorite recent finds — you can class it up for the office, or sass it up for a night out. I’d say this particular look falls somewhere in-between.

Love a good piece of outerwear that, in itself, can be an outfit. Another plus side to this cape (or any cape, really) is the loose style allows you to go layer crazy…the perfect finishing touch on a cold October afternoon! If only I had opted for tights…

Was over the moon when I came home to find this Foley + Corinna Simpatico Clutch on my birthday! Such a sweet surprise from the sweetest of girls…big thanks to Holly and the rest of the team. ♥

Everyone knows that diamonds are a girl’s best friend. And smoky topaz and morganite are clearly pretty great runners-up. Well, in my opinion, you can never have too many friends…

I have always been obsessed with jewelry (duh!), so it was a no brainer when Fifth Bond asked me to curate a boutique for them. Above are some of the pieces I had the pleasure of styling, and and you can check out the rest of the collection by visiting Fifth Bond’s Insider Trends section. I hope you love the statement rings I picked out as much as I do!

If you’re new to the magical world of Fifth Bond, they sell fine jewelry at desirable price points…offering chicks like us access to luxury everyday. And let’s be real…we all deserve a little luxury in our lives. Enjoy and let me know your faves!!

Also here is a fun little interview if you’re interested in why I picked the pieces I did! x

I love a good pair of printed pants and these are no exception. I am not quite sure what the pattern is supposed to be…I’m going to go ahead and call it snow leopard, even though I am fairly certain that’s incorrect. Either way, I dig them and they’re super fun to style!

While I cannot say that I’ve checked much off my growing to-do list (aside from picking up a couple new bras and a sweatshirt from American Apparel), I can say that I had a delightful weekend! Explored some fun new bars in Brooklyn, ran around Soho, and spent some quality snuggle time with Lola. All in all a Saturday and Sunday well spent.
