If you have never been to the Bal Harbour Shops, you must to go. Needless to say, the shopping can’t be beat…but the charm doesn’t stop there. From palm trees and coy ponds to the amazing restaurants (we ate at Makoto!), I can now say from experience that a trip to the Shops is a damn good way to spend an afternoon.

Post Bal Harbour, we made our way to the Tory Burch presentation at the Delano, where I basically want to live for the rest of my life. Shopping then more fashion and champagne by the pool…a pretty well rounded day, if you ask me.

And after that it was back to home base at the Sofitel for a little more laying by the pool and a few more cocktails. A girl could really get used to this!!

While in Miami for Swim Week, Socialyte.co and I hosted an oh-so-delightful blogger press preview for Pour La Victoire at Soho Beach House! The shoes and bags from our Spring 2013 collection are pretty killer on their own, if I do say so myself. Combine that with the poolside presentation, amazing company, and flowing cocktails, and we had ourselves a sweet little setup!

Snapped these photos post-party just as the sun was getting ready to set. One hour of sleep, two margaritas deep, and bit of an adrenaline rush…it’s kind of a miracle I didn’t fall in. Also a miracle was how amazing I slept after this! Thanks so much to the Sofitel hotel for hosting us! It was quite a treat.

My weekend in Miami was an absolute dream. One highlight, among many, was a beautiful brunch at Soho Beach House with the Bal Harbour Shops and my friends at Socialyte.co. They seriously spoiled us with champagne cocktails, breathtaking views, and an array of culinary delights. It was a taste of luxury like I had never experienced…needless to say, I did not want the afternoon to end!

It was such a treat to learn more about the Shops, the art that goes into their semiannual catalogues (so stunning!), and their family run roots. Not to mention, there couldn’t have been a better setting to catch up with old friends, meet some new ones, and just bask in the beauty that is Miami Beach!

And the amazingness did not stop there….the hotel experience at the Sofitel was basically perfection. I kid you not, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! Can’t wait to go back. Stay tuned for tons more photos to come!

When You’re Downtown

While I was not about to drop 150 bones on this unique piece of curbside finery, I did find the (vintage?) bed frame in the background awkwardly charming. Much like the Lower East Side itself, actually…worn in but in the way you’d want it to be. It’s slight grunginess making it all the more appealing. It didn’t take me long to fall in love with the neighborhood.

Blake and I snapped these quick photos en route to our favorite new downtown restaurant, Sauce. After our second time in a one week span, I can say from experience that it’s better for lunch than dinner – though both offer delicious options. A quaint little must-try, and it makes for excellent people watching, to boot!

As I mentioned here, I am now diving in to a long weekend of Miami Swim Week festivities with Socialyte.co, The Bal Harbour Shops and Pour La Victoire. It’ll be my first time visiting the balmy beach town, and oh, let me tell you, this girl’s ready to party in the city where the…you know the rest.

Pardon my paleness, but it has been at least five years since I’ve spent any notable duration of time in a swimsuit. The San Francisco weather isn’t exactly conducive to sunbathing. That, however, is what made a full day spent at the beach this weekend oh so sweet!

We visited friends, rode bikes, strolled the boardwalk, and drank in the sun. I love summer.

Side note: So thrilled to be headed to Miami later on Thursday for Mercedes Benz Swim Week! Thanks so much to Socialyte.co, the Bal Harbour Shops, and Soho House for making it happen. Be sure to stay tuned for live updates on twitter, instagram, etc. along the way.

This weekend included a field trip to Red Hook, complete with a ferry ride, Ikea jaunt, and shipyard exploration. It was actually pretty nice to get outside the city and just wander a bit.

Also nice was the crazy ocean breeze…wearing a flowy dress like this one is about a million times more fun in the wind. It caught air like a freaking flag!

Hope everyone had a happy, happy 4th! Nothing beats day drinking, fireworks, and hot summer nights, in my opinion.

Unnatural colored cheetah print is something I didn’t anticipate resurfacing in my wardrobe post-8th grade. There’s just something so delightfully tacky about the lavender, though, I can’t help but enjoy wearing it.
