Rain or Shine
7 May
Considering it has been non-stop gloomtown around these parts, I decided to ditch my typical rainy-day uniform, consisting of Hunter boots and skinny jeans, for a less repetitive/more colorful ensemble.
I got this umbrella from a random street vendor in China many years ago, while on a gymnastics trip (did I ever mention that I was a gymnast for 11 years?!). San Francisco’s ruthless wind managed to turn upward of ten of my umbrellas inside out, but somehow this one completely avoided destruction. A winner in my book!
Work has been busy and fulfilling. My parents were in town over the weekend, which was quite the treat! It is always great having that extra push to get out early, stay out late, and explore this magical city for two full, consecutive days. Rain or shine, I am almost positive I will never run out of exciting things to do here.
*head to toe: misc. umbrella, Forever21 denim jacket, Pins and Needles dress via Urban Outfitters, Pour La Victoire Napoli tote, HUE tights, Zara heels

I love those tights and your umbrella – what great accessories! It’s so refreshing to see a rainy day post that doesn’t involve hunters (as much as I love them)!

You managed to capture the gloomy grey mood of rainy days without looking dreary or dowdy. I like the mix of prints going on with your tights and floral dress as well, it adds an unexpected element.

Love the floral look for a gloomy day. It’s been pretty rainy around here lately too and I think bright looks are definitely in order.

Laura, love the outfit! It’s dark enough to appeal to my sense of when-it’s-gloomy-out-dress-like-the-weather, but I love that pop of magenta. Beautiful.

The East Coast has been experiencing such gloomy weather! Mother Nature is punishing us for the mild winter we had! LOL! Anyways, your gorgeous is gorgeous as always! And I completely love that umbrella!
