Blake, Lola and I recently enjoyed our first jaunt through Central Park since we moved here, complete with a walk around the lake, hike to Belvedere Castle, and ice cream cones (duh). One of my favorite days in the city to date. Plus, I got to get decked out in sweet little pieces from California-based retailer, Beklina. Rachel Comey, Shourouk, Lina Rennell…swooon!

I had the pleasure of partnering up with fresh new fashion site, STYLE/STALK, to curate a shop based on my fave Beklina pieces. Trust me, narrowing down was no easy feat. The best part is you, lovely people, get to save 20% across the board….just click here and enjoy!

Spent another sunny Saturday in Brooklyn, where we attempted a trip to The Great GoogaMooga festival. Hate the name, but loved the idea — gourmet food stands, flowing alcoholic beverages, and live music in Prospect Park? My kinda sitch. But unfortunately, since none of us wanted to wait in a long line, to wait in another long line, to order a beer, we decided to venture elsewhere. Mooga or no Mooga, I am always game for an excuse to throw on a gauzy dress and a sunhat.

Normally I don’t go this monochromatic (must confess, the matchy-matchyness had me slightly thrown throughout the day), but there was just something about the color…

Stopping at the dress would have been like eating one peanut M&M and leaving the rest of the bag. Once I got going on my quickly growing collection of electric blue accessories, I just couldn’t stop piling them on!

Happy weekend, lovers. ♥

My mission to tune out the world and indulge in some serious chill time this past weekend went completely according to plan. It was the first two days that Blake and I had free from any real obligations in as long as I can remember, and it was nothing short of magnificent! We went to Central Park, walked, slept, read, walked some more, ate ice cream cones, and drank beer on a patio in Brooklyn. It was sunny and perfect and I want to go back!

These Goldsign pants had me at green chiffon. And on top of that they’re seriously so comfortable. Wearing them right after you’ve shaved your legs? Even better. Not to get weird.

You may have noticed that these sunglasses have been absent from my posts for quite some time. You may not have. But in case you were, let me tell you why…it is because somehow, pre-NY move, I hid them from myself in an old vintage clutch that I rarely wear. Imagine my excitement when I found them last week! Best feeling ever. Completely made my day.

Looking forward to laying in Central Park this weekend with Blake, Lola, and a good book, and shutting out the world for a while. Some unwind time is very much needed.

Considering it has been non-stop gloomtown around these parts, I decided to ditch my typical rainy-day uniform, consisting of Hunter boots and skinny jeans, for a less repetitive/more colorful ensemble.

I got this umbrella from a random street vendor in China many years ago, while on a gymnastics trip (did I ever mention that I was a gymnast for 11 years?!). San Francisco’s ruthless wind managed to turn upward of ten of my umbrellas inside out, but somehow this one completely avoided destruction. A winner in my book!

Work has been busy and fulfilling. My parents were in town over the weekend, which was quite the treat! It is always great having that extra push to get out early, stay out late, and explore this magical city for two full, consecutive days. Rain or shine, I am almost positive I will never run out of exciting things to do here.
