Snapped some quick pics on my way to work yesterday morning, and I have to say the color of this jacket alone made me feel all bright and cheery! Do you guys have any favorite colors for spring yet? This tangerine color is up there for me, along with electric blue, mint green, and fuchsia. Kind of stuck in neon/pastel limbo, and I like it there.

Some variation of this outfit has pretty much become my weekend uniform. And I am really embracing casual now that Monday-Friday I am required to step it up a notch…

That’s right people, this chick got a J.O.B!  Last week was my first as Interactive Marketing Manager for Pour La Victoire, and I couldn’t be more excited about the position. If you aren’t familiar, Pour La Victoire is an amazing shoe and handbag brand with a classic-but-edgy vibe. It is such a great feeling to be jumping into a new project, in a new city, and working on something I’m super passionate about!

Come along for the ride and follow PLV on Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest? It’ll be fun!

Recently had the pleasure of teaming up with super cool fashion site, StyleCaster, to style spring denim for Bloomingdales. There is nothing I enjoy more than a full rack of clothing and rows of shoes, bags, and accessories to play around with. Like a kid in a candy store, I tell ya!

A little about my look…I fell in love with this Helmut Lang knit top, and knew that I would have to use it for the shoot. That is typically how I style — find a great piece that I am into and build the outfit from there. Kept it simple with a pair of J Brands (my favorite jeans!), and some super cute heels. Tied together the gold from the bag hardware and the silver from the sandals with a metallic cuff on each arm. Hope you guys like it!

Oh, and be sure to swing by StyleCaster to find out more about the amazing looks that the rest of the bloggers put together (they’re all SO cute, by the way)…just click HERE!

Hope you guys had a fun St. Patty’s Day weekend! Last week was an eventful one for me — actually, heck, its more like the last two months. So many huge changes I am trying to adjust to each day, but mostly good things (knock on wood!).

Anyway, Blake looks at me this morning and says, “Wow, you are really into wearing WHITE these days”. I’m not sure what it is that’s led to my stray from dark shades all the time, but he is definitely right. While it is no bueno when taking into account my clumsy nature (thank goodness for stain remover and our new wash and fold)…light, bright, and airy does wonders for my mood. It is amazing how much better I feel walking around on a sunny day in lighter shades!

Don’t get me wrong, my vote will always be with black for best color to wear. I guess I am just having a moment.

Pre-happy hour drinks, Blake and I took a quick stroll through Tompkins Square Park. Actually, I spent most of yesterday waking aimlessly around Manhattan, so opting for a light, swishy outfit turned out to be a pretty sweet move.

I love the vintage-y feel of this “jacket”, and the fact that it kind of looks like a nightgown. One of those pieces I was on the fence about before buying a few years back, but now I am so glad I took the plunge. Goes great over just about anything!

On a completely random note, I have been really into nail polish lately. I used to be one of those people who couldn’t get away with doing my own nails, due to a simple lack of skill. But, magically, my hand has steadied and I have been switching ‘em up every week or so! But enough about me…I wanted to find out what your favorite polish brands/colors are? I get so completely overwhelmed when faced with the enormous selection of shades in the store!

OK, so I am definitely experiencing the honeymoon phase with my new home. Today I had another one of those ethereal moments — it’s like, spring is in the air and I am in the exact place I have dreamed of being for years. Ok, cheeseball alert, but there really is no place in the world like New York City.

Another thing that happened this weekend is I decided to seal the deal on my annual handbag splurge…this 3.1 Phillip Lim badboy on my arm being the result. It really is an awesome bag — somehow managing to fit everything I need without being ridiculously large. I must confess, I miiight have put this entire outfit together to match the bag. :)

Finally made my way to Topshop after a whole month in New York! What started as an innocent little outing quickly turned into in a mini shopping spree…a shopping spree from which this outfit was spawned.

I really do enjoy neons (especially neon green), but like to keep it casual and toned down by pairing with neutrals. In this case, a growling tiger shirt was part of the process. What can I say, I was feeling dangerous. ;)
