Anyone as excited as I am for 4th of July and the long weekend? Our big plans include margarita making, a quick trip to Santa Cruz and staying in bed ’til noon at least once.

So looking forward to a little time on the road, time with good friends and a fireworks show to top it all off. Enjoy the sunshine, lovelies! <3

I don’t usually wear things quite this peasant-like, but as soon as I saw this dress I had to have it. Makes me feel like such a frilly little lady!

Paired it with a tougher pair of shoes, which just might be my favorite new possession. I am stupidly obsessed with the screening material matched up with messy buckles. Obsessed. I pretty much haven’t taken them off since they arrived in the mail a couple weeks back.

I need to wash my hair. :/

Last week I had the huge pleasure of spending the day with my friends at ThreadSence for this super cool Mixology feature! I arrived to find racks of jaw dropping pieces, and was able to style them however I wanted — like a kid in a candy store, I tell you. After a short week and a long drive, we’re back in San Francisco. There is nothing I treasure more than time with my family — celebrated my parents’ 30th anniversary, sister’s college graduation, mom’s birthday, grandpa’s 90th birthday and Father’s Day. Crazy, right?

But all good things must come to an end, and it’s back to real life. Which, thanks to Blake and Lola, isn’t half bad either.  <3

Blake and I spent the past few days in Santa Barbara for my sister’s graduation. We stayed at the most adorable B&B (with free wine and a charming little garden!) – caught up with family, enjoyed the sunshine, and celebrated like crazy. The party continues, and I will be spending the next week or so at “home” in Orange County. I cannot wait to get a freaking tan — majorly vitamin D deprived over here…

I have always been a fan of polkadots, but the paper thin material and low-cut back on this dress is what did it for me. New favorite? Perhaps! Had some fun braiding a scarf into my hair to top it off.

Never underestimate the power of a perfect white tee. I have worn this one for years (literally, years), and it makes me wish I had bought ten of them.
