I have never really cared much for sports, but I do like going to baseball games seeing as yelling and drinking is encouraged. Even though Blake likes the Yankees and I like nobody in particular, we’ve sort of embraced the Giant’s as our local team. Hopefully we’ll get to a few games this season…but for now frolicking around on our local diamond will do.

NYFW: People and Places

26 Feb

What happened as it happened: my bag/airplane stuff, Megan and me at Evolving Influence, colorful Christina, mimosa brunch with Kim, champagne and cigarettes in a stairway, closing the restaurant on Valentine’s Day, fuzzy bunny Liz, losing my hot toddy virginity, back of the bar, Brooklyn after dark.

Already missing NYC. <3

When I got home from NY, Blake surprised me with this adorable knit Zara skirt and an enormous striped sunhat to match! Best part is he picked them out all by himself. What a guy, right?! Unfortunately SF weather hasn’t allowed for me to sport the hat in an appropriate manner just yet, but I can’t wait to show it to you! :)

Wore this little nude number out for brunch/champagne and an afternoon spent frolicking around the Marina (hey guys, did you know this is Mr. A-Wang’s SF hangout?). Still recuperating after an awesome trip and long weekend, but it is nice to be falling slowly back into normalcy.

Not sure if you’ve noticed I have a new sponsor… Lulus.com! Well, they’ve just featured me for their Blogger Spotlight, and I am beyond flattered by the kind writeup. Check it out here. xx

So excited to announce that Gucci has selected OnTheRacks as one of 7 blogs to live stream their F/W 2011 show! What does that mean? You’ll be able to watch the runway show as it is happening on the other side of the world. Seriously second best to actually being at Milan Fashion Week, am I right? Plus, this way you can enjoy a cup of coffee with your catwalk!

It has been raining cats and dogs since I got back from New York!! Regardless, having Blake’s parents in town, we’ve been out and about enjoying ourselves all around San Francisco. Yesterday we grabbed brunch downtown, then ducked into the Japantown mall for shelter before seeing a movie. There is this crazy photo booth/arcade/funhouse with lots of bright colors and excited teenagers. So awesome… it just made sense to snap a few photos there. :)

Brr, it is freezing in New York! Thank goodness for this heavy thrifted jacket I found before heading out here. It has been such a savior from the ridiculous cold. Paired with my new asymmetric top from LF, faux leather pants from H&M, and a random hat my brother got me for Xmas a couple years back!

Here are a few stand-out snaps from NYFW:

I have loved every minute.

Headed back to San Francisco tomorrow, and can’t wait to kiss my boyfriend, snuggle my dog, and sleep in my own bed! I have had a magical time… seeing friends, meeting new people, and taking in as much fashion, food, and culture as possible.  Until next time, NYC. <3

A few photos from the Pamela Love presentation last night… talk about some kick-ass jewelry! So drawn to how tough and dramatic it all is. I wanted every piece — the prism bracelets, over-sized earrings, spike necklaces, arm cuffs… all of it! And how lovely does the collection look paired with those delicate white dresses? Pretty, pretty.

It was my first time being at a presentation at Milk Studios, and crowded as it was, I was beyond excited to be there. Surrounded by some industry big-wigs, and beautiful collections by Suno and Erin Featherston, the evening was quite a thrill! More photos to come.

Today I’ll be attending Tory Burch, Custo Barcelona and Zang Toi. Are you following me on twitter? I’ll be tweeting from the shows! :)
