Out Of Place
31 Jan
Blake and I spent the weekend in Napa to celebrate our 4-year anniversary. Amazing that this is just a 30 minute drive outside of the city — when you’re there, it feels like you’re a world away.
These photos were taken near Domaine Carneros, which is one of our favorite stops for sparkling wine. The views are killer and the cheese plates aren’t bad either.
I found this vintage cocktail dress at the Goodwill a while back, and decided to take it up a few inches… I love how out of place it looks in these photos. I don’t know why, but it just seemed right at the time.
*head to toe: vintage dress, YSL ring, Steve Madden boots

these photos are STUNNING! you’re gorg…
and happy anniversary!

These photos are beautiful. The light is so soft and that cocktail dress looks perfect on you. It is so feminine, and paired with the boots it gives it just the right edge. I love how you took such an ornate dress and made it look at home in the countryside. That champagne color blends so well with the rays of light. Did you spend the whole weekend in Napa? Any good wineries we should be checking out next time we’re there? Looks like you had a wonderful anniversary.

Thanks girl!! Yes, we did spend the whole weekend there — it was really nice. We went to Chandon, Gerard, Jessup and Domaine Carneros this time. Some other faves are Peju and Hopper Creek (small but so much fun!). xx

Thank you!! <3 Yep, a thrift find — got it at the goodwill on haight street. It was kind of a weird length though, so I got it shortened.
