Blake and I spent the weekend in Napa to celebrate our 4-year anniversary. Amazing that this is just a 30 minute drive outside of the city — when you’re there, it feels like you’re a world away.

These photos were taken near Domaine Carneros, which is one of our favorite stops for sparkling wine. The views are killer and the cheese plates aren’t bad either.

I found this vintage cocktail dress at the Goodwill a while back, and decided to take it up a few inches… I love how out of place it looks in these photos. I don’t know why, but it just seemed right at the time.

San Francisco has been graced with such lovely weather lately, it’s hard to believe that half the country is covered in snow. I need to brace myself for my upcoming trip to New York… if it’s anything like last February I’m in for a real freeze fest! Storm or shine, I’m beyond excited. Every time I visit NY I’m overcome by the energy… I’d really like to live there one day.

Blake and I went for a walk along Fort Mason/Crissy Field and took these photos. I love looking out at Alcatraz — it is kind of creepy and intriguing, don’t you think? Finished off the night with some Skinnygirl (slash boy) Margaritas — recipe here.

I have kind of been embracing more boyish styles lately. The moment I laid eyes these slouchy shpants, I knew they had to be mine!

Also, I am in the market for a new everyday white tee — thanks to the a-hole dog who peed on my favorite one at the beach in Santa Cruz, where it was accidentally abandoned on a washing machine. Dangit! The one I’m wearing here is great and all, but pretty see-through and one wash away from becoming a shredded disaster.

Any favorite t-shirt brands?! I’ll probably play it safe with a trusty James Perse or T by Alexander Wang…or maybe (just maybe), I’ll branch out and try something new!

Needless to say, I grow strong bonds with my basics.

Had the best day today! Swung by the market to pick up sandwiches & beer, then spent the whole afternoon at the park…we’re finally getting some sunshine here in SF! Lola is one happy little fluff (can you tell?).

Found this cozy sweater while thrift shopping a couple weeks back. It’s the perfect shape… cropped and super wide in just the right way. Also, was recently introduced to Piecemaker Jewelry — the collection is kind of earthy & kind of rocker and, well, I dig it.

This skirt really reminds me of an accordion. I discovered it while thrift shopping a couple weeks back, and the $3.99 price tag made it basically impossible to resist. It’s made of heavy wool, so perfect for a mild SF winter day!

Too much of a good thing is not a phrase I subscribe to. Homemade chips and salsa + breakfast burritos + pineapple rose mimosas = my kinda Sunday. Had the most amazing meal at Don Pistos this morning — I highly recommend it to any Mexican brunch (drinking) lovers.

This sheer buttondown is so versatile — styled it for winter here, and it’s been a fun transitional piece for spring. Also, when I wear it I feel the urge to “fly” around like some kid with a super hero complex… obviously a plus.
