In thinking about the year to come, I couldn’t help but take a quick look back on 2010. Here are some of my outfits from the past year — a miniature OnTheRacks timeline, if you will. Can’t wait for another year of blogging… thanks for sticking with me! <3

Wishing everyone a happy, safe, fun-filled New Year’s Eve. Any holiday that involves copious amounts of champagne is A-OK in my book!

Hope everyone had a lovely holiday and is gearing up for a kick-ass New Years Eve celebration. I know I am! It has been such a fun and relaxing week… it is never easy leaving sunny southern California.

Blake and I had an amazing Christmas together, and it was wonderful catching up with both of our families. I must say that I am looking forward to returning to normalcy tomorrow, though — I start to feel a little disoriented when removed from my “routine” for too long.

Blake got me this AMAZING ring that I’ve been wanting for some time now… I feel like the luckiest girl ever. I’d love to hear about your favorite Xmas gifts — please do share! =)

Blake, Lola, and I arrived home to Orange County after a long, rainy drive last night. Now it officially feels like the holidays! Whether or not you celebrate Christmas, I hope you’ll enjoy a wonderful long weekend with family, friends, delicious food, and of course holiday beverages! My personal favorite cold weather drink is mulled wine made with Williams Sonoma mulling spices.  Just blend the mix with your favorite red vino, warm for a few minutes on the stovetop, and enjoy.

Though not quite as glamorous as the high fashion editorials above, I shall now leave you with our Ellner family holiday card photo (shot by Blake!):

Last but certainly not least, in the spirit of the season I just want to say thank you to everyone who reads the blog for making this first year so exciting and fulfilling for me. I cannot thank you enough for your comments and continuous support. It really means the world to me. Happy holidays everyone! <3

Living in a quieter neighborhood, it’s easy to feel removed from the city at times. Whenever we start to miss the hustle and bustle, we’ll head downtown to Union Square — it just has this busy metropolitan energy that makes me love SF so very much. And nothing beats downtown during the holidays… there are lights everywhere, music, ice skating, and a general feeling of excitement in the air. Today we finished up Christmas shopping and enjoyed being outdoors after a long streak of rainy days!

Been a busy bee this past week! Las Vegas was a blast – I always have so much fun with my family. I even won $100… booya!

Union Street is so gosh darn adorable during the holiday season. The Christmas lights make me want to squeal with delight every time I walk out my door after dark! Can you believe its almost Xmas? I can’t. Really, where in the world did 2010 go?
