Saturday was Lola’s third birthday, so we celebrated by taking her on a hike on the beautiful Mt. Tamalpais. I am not very rugged but I do have a soft spot for the outdoors, and our little outing made me very nostalgic for the camping trips I used to take with my family as a little girl.

Our “Indian Summer” is stretching itself out into November this year and I couldn’t be happier… such a lovely, warm weekend.

Is it just me or do the weekends always end way too soon?

You likely know of my love for LF. It’s just a hop skip and a block from my house, and one of my favorite places to shop in SF! Their winter lookbook Drifter has me completely embracing cold weather – something I typically have a very difficult time with. I am obsessed with the furry amazingness, sheer sex appeal, and chunky knit everything. Like heaven in a wardrobe.

This is what I wore on Halloween, and my mismatched-ness had me receiving “hey, what’s she supposed to be?” looks all morning. Blake was the first one to shoot me one of these glances, but I told him he’d look even sillier than me walking Lola in a tutu!

I got these pants in the Topshop petit section while I was visiting NYC in September. I’m a little tall for this section, yes, but I do enjoy a good pair of cropped skinnies! Add leopard print to the mix, and I’m sold. The Opening Ceremony heels were from my prior NYFW trip last February. I’d probably dress a lot better (and be crazy poor) if I moved to New York.

While the only thing I like about sports is the drinking that typically accompanies watching games, I have to say it… GO Giants! The city streets were pretty darn wild on Monday and the party lasted well into the night. It’s been fun to see everyone so happy and feel the sense of unity among San Franciscans over the past few weeks.

This outfit is sort of like f/w 2010 fashion meets Britney Spears circa “hit me baby one more time”. Perhaps I have been watching too many Gossip Girl re-runs, but I’m really loving this bundled up, preppy look (with a little sass, of course) for fall. 

I just ordered these Steve Madden heels today after spotting them in my Shop It To Me Salemail. Such an amazing price for a staple brown boot! 

A new little sock trick I’ve been exploring is slouched thigh-highs (see the look here). To be honest, I love the idea of over the knee socks, but with a short enough skirt I tend to start feeling like a street walker. Just bunch ‘em down for a leg warmer-effect and you’re good to go!

I won’t even get started on that hat…
