Breaking Boundaries
27 Oct
I think this outfit is kind of what California fall fashion is all about – long skirts, cardigans, and pumps. When it’s too cold for shorts and not quite jacket weather, something like this makes sense.
I found myself stepping outside of my comfort zone with this particular look, though. The tea length skirt is new to me… I’m typically drawn to pieces that elongate the legs, not stumpify them. And the heels?! Oh, the heels. They’re somewhere in between flats and pumps – a place I never thought I’d go! When I spotted them at Urban Outfitters last weekend, however, I was instantly charmed. In stepping outside of my comfort zone, I was pleased to find myself, well, surprisingly comfortable!!
That’s my favorite thing about fashion… it’s not about labels or having the “latest thing”… it’s about breaking your own boundaries, and exploring different styles! At least that’s what I love about it.
*head to toe: Chanel sunglasses, Nasty Gal lace top, St.Eve vintage Chanel pendant, Vince sweater, Nasty Gal Parker pleated skirt, Deena & Ozzy heels

I will be featuring this look in my blog this week so please stop by!

Easily one of my favourite outfits of yours ever! I absolutely love everything about it, and your mentality going into it…I’ve been really drawn to skirts this length lately because I’ve always been such a mini/maxi type of girl, but it’s refreshing to try something new! You look gorgeous as usual.

Those heels are Fab ! I also really love the color of the skirt, I have a dress that I bought from H&M a while back that is similar in color and also has the pleats. Very Feminine and Chic !
