Urban Forest
20 Sep
One of my favorite shows at New York Fashion Week was Toni Francesc. The Spring/Summer 2011 collection was inspired by nature, transfering a forest-based concept to a city environment. The overall collection was much softer than his last, but Toni still stayed true to the futuristic element that makes his designs unique.
I love that Toni collaborated with jewelry designer, Nashelle, to incorporate strong wooden accessories and detailing throughout the presentation. I wish I had brought my camera and snapped a photo of the wooden spike ring – it had to be at least 5 inches tall, and sharp as a knife… a total vampire murder weapon. And the shoes!! Ohh, the shoes…

Beautiful collection, I love the softness of it.

I am in love with the dress to the far right. Everything just seems made for each other from the shoes to the giant wooden bangle or would it be called a cuff? Not sure, but whatever it is it’s beautiful.
