It’s sweltering in the city (and when I say sweltering, I mean over 70 degrees). If that’s not a reason to celebrate, I don’t know what is!
We are dedicating this lovely Saturday to World Cup-watching… Soccer, shmoccer — I am really just there for the booze.
Who’s watching, and what team should I be cheering on?!

For who you should cheer? I would say: Germany! ;) I’m a German, who currently lives in Brazil and it is not understated what the world says about the Brazilian soccer obsession. It is crazy. Around 3.30pm nothing and nobody will work in this country. Today will be like a holiday. Actually I have English class at night around 7 pm (Brazilian Time), but this will not be today, because of the game in the afternoon. An exam of my boyfriend in university was set for another day, too. I don’t wanna even know what will happen, when they have the World Cup in their own country next time. The country will not work for one month?
