All chalked up
25 May
I spent most of my childhood swinging the uneven bars (I was a gymnast for 11 years), so being covered head-to-toe in chalk is not new to me. However, I never thought this to be an even remotely glamorous look until laying eyes upon this editorial from Vogue China.
I have always thought ballerinas to be beautiful beings…even before the Chanel tutu (video below). They’re tall, skinny, and graceful — ultra- rhythmic fashion models, if you will. I think I’ll get tickets to The Nutcracker this year.

I was a gymnast as well, (10 years) and I think the most creative I got with chalk was putting giant hand prints on people’s butts. Thanks for sharing this editorial, its so pretty!

I remember those chalked up days like they were yesterday. This is definitely a cute post.

These images are lovely! As is the ballet in that video – a dance I’ve always wanted to learn
